KFC restaurant to pay $25K to settle harassment suit with EEOC The owners of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in northwest St. Louis County, will pay two former female employees $25,000 under a settlement with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
The EEOC sued Morgan's Foods of Missouri, which owns and operates 19 Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in the state, for subjecting two female employees at its 10557 Page Ave. store to sexual harassment. It also charged that the company retaliated against one of the employees for complaining about the harassment.
In addition to the $25,000, Morgan's Foods agreed to provide sexual harassment training to all employees and managers at the restaurant where the incidents occurred and provide reports detailing complaints of harassment and the company's handling of the complaints.
Morgan's Foods Inc. operates 103 restaurants in six states, including KFC restaurants, Taco Bell restaurants and Pizza Hut restaurants.
