this time we will be .... what? Lamenting or rejoicing? Or just going about the daily business?
I was with my brother and SIL today. Needed a reality check so I drove over to Illinois. My SIL started with "MO is a swing state.....please vote." I laughed. She laughed and said "Oh, that's right, you're libertarian." It was good. But then I told her my conservative brother was voting Kerry and she was astounded. My Republican brother, who is active duty reserves, refuses to vote for Bush. You guys don't know him, but let's say this - pigs are flying somewhere. Watch where you walk.

I sold my vote today for a bottle of scotch. If another candidate offers strippers, I might change my mind.
I think a vote is worth a bottle of single malt.

I feel kinda optimistic. Unfortunately, I felt kinda optimistic about ammend 2 also. What ever happens, it will be out of my control. I have done my best to convince everyone that I have contact with...friends, co-workers, neighbors, you guys, that Bush is a serious threat to world peace. If I haven't succeeded, it is not for lack of trying. Whatever happens, I'll do my best. If my worst fears come true, then I'll be a fucking rebel fighting the christian reconstructionists in the street goddamnit. It will happen the way it happens. We will either take a stand as a nation for equality and justice or we will succumb as a nation to corporate greed and religious intolerance.

I work with a girl whos hubby is a military officer (I don't remember which branch) and he is very upset with how Bush has handled Iraq. He's voting Kerry too. I wonder if there aren't more military folks who just don't say but will vote for Kerry. If I were in the service, I sure wouldn't want Bush in charge. Or Cheney.
