Well, they lost. Swept embarassingly. Hung heads dejected in the lockerroom while the visitors partied all night long in their house. But we cannot forget the MV3s, 105 wins, 4 pitchers with 15 wins, the special feeling they gave us all summer.
I'm looking forward to next season. I figure that Morris will be traded and Williams will retire. We will keep Carpenter, Suppan, and possibly Marquis. The exciting thing is we will have the young and devastating arms of Danny Haren and Rick Ankiel to call on. I think that's enough, but if they can use the Morris/Williams money to attract a marquis pitcher, I say go for it. In fact, I think I'd like to see Carpenter, Suppan, Ankiel, Haren, and one veteran superstar to help guide them. Of course, everything possible must also be done to resign Edgar Renteria.
This year was awesome, Next year could be scary. Dynasty, anyone??
