Upon clinching the pennant, Steve Kline and Yadier Molina re-enact a scene from "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon".

Well, I'm depressed. Dropped 3 in a row. Would have to set history to win now. Still....go Cards!

I forget the last time we won (87?) - but the World Series that sticks out in my mind is 1982. I've never been a big baseball fan, but "The Wizard of Oz" (not the movie) was cool. He may never have hit any home runs, in fact, I'm sure he never did....but he was fun to watch.

Too bad it doesn't look like there's going to be a repeat. It's the 8th inning now, and the Cardinals are losing. They could win, yet...(a grand slam can do wonders) but it's just not looking likely.

If we were going to be shut down, shut out, have our asses beat by anybody, might as well have been them, ending their little "curse" Can't believe dumbass STL CA is down this morning. What a bunch of frickin losers. I mean, today there's bound to be a ton of folks who want to discuss. They can't handle the load. Just like the Post Office; when business is good, they're in trouble. Not exactly geared for sucess, their information system department. Fuck ups. Sorry guys, that that "Could not connect to database" web page message just pisses me off. They truly are fuck ups when it comes to this, at STL.com. A year ago, I bought the excuses. Now, I know they don't invest either the time or money. I worked on world-wide servers; this is bs IT maint, and even dumber for the timing of it, if possible. Anyway, sorry, had to bitch.

I'm bummed that the Cards lost, although in a way it's gratifying to see something that many people have lived and died having never seen.
Thanks Cardinals for a phenomenal season.

Oh that is so true! I wish Tony wouldn't hang his head like that; it was something special to see. And the Red Sox really wanted it, so I don't think it was your typical World Series. Good Morning Doc : )

Good Morning Doc : ) Top O' the Mornin' to you, too Whatever. Yeah, Tony and the guys have nothing to be ashamed about. This was history waiting to happen. Plus, we'd already beaten them in two previous Series'. Congrats to the Sox, they definitely earned it.
