haha outgirl  That's a wierd one Kender, I never got that one. Hmm sounds like some silly ass code. I didn't write it ;D As a dba, I love the "database down for maintenance"...they take their database down for a LONG time sometimes. ha. Not the brightest crayons in the box I think, but it could be the system is just that difficult. As many times as it's happened, still sounds amature. I used to take down a database for major maintenance, and our window was only 3 hours, 3 AM to 6 AM, for a world-wides servers. With replication (how they all share their data), which means nothing to you guys likely, but it's a REAL bitch with sybase. |

I noticed that the morning after at least one of the debates, the server was down for maintanence...I thought that was interesting. Maybe they're setting up a new forum or something for the debates?

What's going on, and how is this going to work, anyway? - Rick I didn't mean the important debate...I meant the one with Bush and Kerry *G* Don't know when its really going to start. I should think by this weekend. Sent some ideas to Cam as to format, etc. Waiting to hear back. They're looking for a backup for me in case I am unavailable for part of the debate. |
