Ex-school aide is fined $500 for hiding evidence in student-restraint incidentFull StoryThis story makes me wonder - are there details we don't know about? It seems like a pretty lenient (sp?) punishment. He did lose his job, which should be enough I suppose.

It seems like a pretty lenient (sp?) punishment. He did lose his job, which should be enough I suppose. I'm all for being lenient on the perpetrators of victimless 'crimes', but the kid in the class seems to be a victim to me. I think the aide should've been convicted of, at least, accessory to the assault. I know if I had a kid that was tied to a chair by a teacher, this verdict wouldn't please me. I understand that the aide was instructed by the teacher, but if my superior at work instructs me to break the law, I'm still not going to do it. Neither should such a person be held unaccountable for their actions.

Whats wrong with those people. You don't tie up kids as a punishment. This is sad.

That's just fucked up. Is that where Kerri works? - Rick I'm not sure but that might be her school. Will have to get the inside scoop. I had a teacher hit Emily once in the 3rd grade. I had to go talk to her. She turned out to be this little ancient old lady. I still told her I'd beat her fucking head in if she ever touched my child again. I know there are people that think schools should have this right, but I don't.

A private school would, I guess, but I'd never send Connor there. - Rick
