Yes, and tells them they're wrong for growing the best cash crop they can, knowing they get pennies on the dollar no matter what they grow, and it makes a life and death difference in the lives of the farmers. Yeah, where a bastion, aren't we? America has disappeared before our very eyes Yeah doc, it is wierd, isn't it? A family friend years ago said something that surprised the heck out of me at the time. He was like the extended family-uncle I never had, so I repected his opinion very much. He said that East St Loius was a different place when the Mafia ran it. It was safer, and more controlled. As opposed to what it is now. He told me more that I've since forgotten, and he isn't the only once since that I've heard say that. I wonder, what is it going to take for the common ordinary citizen to realize that we are, indeed, approaching a police state. I wonder how many awful things will have to happen. And I worry about my kids. Other peoples kids too. Meanwhile, our government flies over and drops poisonous chemicals on the crops, the farmers, and their children. - Rick

Absolutely. Black market. Hey, I rattled on about Libertarianism on STL, and if you get a chance, feel free to check it out and make sure I got it right, eh? I'm old but not an authority, so correct as you see necessary forums.stltoday.com/viewtopic.php?t=151722Not to mention the fact that the only reason these illicit crops are the only profitable option for these poor farmers is that our drug War makes it so. - Rick

When was the last time you heard about a violent crime occuring in The Hill?
