This is weird. I just did my taxes on the computer, and because of Connor, I get something called the EITC, which means I am getting a "refund" of a couple thousand dollars more than I actually paid last year. I mean, fuck - I'll take it, but is this really a "refund," or is it really just "welfare?"

Well, that might be worthless And then there's the fact that with tax withholding, the gov gets to hang on to other people's money for a period of time at no cost. For free, no interest, no penalty. Whether they earn any interest on the money or use it foolishly isn't exactly our issue. I know you already know that. Consider it an advance on money we're all owed. On a silly note... Well, it's Friday, and not to be bloggy but I'm planning on getting too silly to be worth posting very well. Hopefully do laundry later. And must clean house Yippie, I have motivation

I never turn down free money. It's not in my nature. Give me more free money. While you're at it give me a free X-box. And a free Prada handbag. -Jan
