I don't know if anyone else posting here is actually going to the game Monday, but I am. I am taking in a sign that can be concealed under my clothing and I am wearing a "Bench Bush" t-shirt under my Cardinals shirt that I will reveal after I pass through the gates. I don't trust security to not take these from me when I enter, so they will be hidden until I get to my seats. I will hold the sign and wear my shirt (as will 3 of my friends) and we will boo as loudly as possible. Given the Republican nature of the baseball world, I will be thrilled if I hear even a few other boos. Audible boos will mean at least 100 other people there feel the same way about this J@ckoff Bush and what he is doing to this country.

Oh, and I am helping to register voters too. That, and voting in November and writing letters all the time. Booing is just one small contribution to the dissent that we are entitled to in America!!

There are t-shirts available at Riddles in the Loop if anyone will be around the stadium on Monday. American made, $10.

Must admit that I thought of this myself. I don't know that I would actually boo the President at a baseball game. I would at a political function, but just dont really know about the game. I do respect the office of the presidency, just not the man in it. I would wear my Bush International Terrorist tee shirt though.

I think I am inclined to agree with you on this. I think they have every right to boo him, but it's just kind of childish.

No offense to anyone who thinks this is a good idea. It's just my opinion.

That was my take, too. Booing is a pretty unintelligent way to express oneself in the first place, and if people do it, it will help cement St. Louis' reputation as home to a bunch of unrefined and boorish chawbacons.

I loved it!
On his visit and ball throw though, for the most part I'd have to say my greatest concern is the traffic and having to work anywhere close to the stadium. Lots of people looking at other people, like for security, creeps me out.
At first the thought of booing seemed distasteful to me, but then I remembered all the stories about protesters being pretty much removed from any area bad for pr during a presidential visit, and it didn't seem as bad.

But yeah, screw Bush. If anyone in our country today deserves to be booed, it's Bush. I mean, for Chrissakes, people on the Price is Right boo when the Big Wheel doesn't make it around all the way, I figure starting an unnecessary war is just a little bit worse.

Oh he definately deserves much more than that! Booing just seems a little immature. I plan on making my feelings known in November.
