I don't see why people see this as a plus. What I am being asked to believe is that Kerry was morally opposed to the war, but would rather kill people than take a principled stand or even run - and somehow this is laudable?
At least Muhamad Ali took a stand and the punishment. That's a man of principle.
Clinton ran away. That's a coward. And if your assertions about Bush were true, he would be, too.
Kerry went ahead and killed the people he was morally opposed to killing. What does that make him?

Hell, our second president made it illegal to speak out against the government with the Alien and Sedition Acts. Thank God Jefferson got it repealed when he was elected. - Rick |

Seems to have been one of the only ones that had a clue about how to run this government. |

Seems to have been one of the only ones that had a clue about how to run this government. I have to say, though, that Jefferson was better in theory than in practice. As president, he caved to the Federalists too often, and ended up going home extremely depressed. - Rick |
