Istook has introduced legislation to prohibit any transit system that receives federal funds from running advertising from a group that advocates decriminalizing or legalizing marijuana.
Welcome to the new Communist State of America. This is sickening. That any of our politicians could conceive of the idea to strip the foundations of the Constitution is horrifying, but not surprising. Power is the most addictive drug of all. Give them some and they will undoubtedly try to take as much as possible.
There's a reason Freedom of Speech is the First Amendment, and it's not an alphabetical reason. The FCC is bad enough, laws prohibiting certain ideas from being discussed is a blatant violation of everything this nation was founded on.
