Right on, Rick. Marriage is among the most personal and intimate of experiences (I'm guessing, never been married myself) and, for that reason alone, government should have nothing to do with it.
I don't understand what the big deal is. My lesbian cousin got married to her girlfriend several years ago and quickly got divorced, just like most heterosexual couples.
All the arguments against gay marriage, except the religious ones are quickly debunked by anyone with half a brain. I kind of have problems believing that many people really have a problem with it. I had begun to think we were living in a more evolved society. Guess some of us are, the rest must be on the slow train to enlightenment.

People seem to be having trouble with the word "marriage" Generally it seems people have no problem with the concept of civil unions and having the same rights and protections under the law. Just don't call it marriage. That seems to be an afront to God.

So sad it's even an issue here in the 2000s.

I have to say that I never thought I would see gay marriages become legal in my lifetime. Even just a few years ago, I would've said that. But now I really do believe that it will happen. Maybe not right away, but we have finally seen the courts ruling in our favor here and thats a big step. Of course now I DON'T HAVE A GIRLFRIEND.

Apparently, those are the one's that I seem to be attracted to. I just need a friend with benefits that knows when to go home. Not all wives are as cool as yours.
