I just sent pm's to all the members of Queervolution that AJ and I have decided to disband the forum. Neither of us feels we are able to keep it up and it has become stagnant. We have quite a few members and a lot of guests who lurk, but we just don't have enough regular posters to maintain the board without a lot of effort on our parts. There is another local gay forum that we have decided to support. I think we both felt the same but nether wanted to upset the other. When I brought the subject up tonight, AJ actually said it was a relief. It was fun but I guess we're over it. How very gay, lol. But I am proud of it and I do feel a little sad to let it go. But it's time to move on. For anyone who has never visited our forum...feel free to give us a visit before we delete it. queervolution.proboards22.com/ If I do say, it is one of the prettiest forums around.

Awww....this makes me sad, too. The example of your site made this one prettier, too. Great people, great talks. A shame.

There just isn't enough diversity on a gay site. Not much to discuss when we all agree. I was hoping to find some gay republicans to join but it hasn't happened and I don't think either of us are feelin it anymore.

You guys could run a gay forum on here. Of course, it'd be by my rules, but you've always been able to handle that over here. But you could have your section to keep "the community" up-to-date. We might even be able to make it look like QV when you go into that section. Or a combo of the two.
At any rate, you could accomplish what you had been trying within the framework of a (slightly) larger community. Food for thought...

Oh, damn. I am so sorry outgirl. Here I am, popping in to say hi and check in with folks. I haven't been doing internet, but have made great strides on drywall. And I got a job opportunity, a short gig for 6 months that I JUST now told them to go ahead and submit me for it. Might get it, might not, but salary-wise she said they'd be able to beat what I was at, so I'm happy as heck about that. I've been out for over 9 months, so anything in the positive direction is good, you know?
There I am about to hijacke this thread, those bits just seem to blend together.
I need a job to get a vacation from my house.
