This movie is based on one of my all-time fav science fiction books by Philip K. Dick. It was written in 1970 but is set in the future, and is all about the war on drugs and the high-tech police state we live in (some of Dick's literary predictions have come true). Best of all, it's from the creators of Waking Life, and done in the same style (live action w/ a beautiful, dream-like animation overlay), It features KEANU REEVES, WINONA RYDER, WOODY HARRELSON and ROBERT DOWNEY JR. YES...and it's fan-freakin-tastic! Some ppl were confused by the ending, but that's bcuz they packed so much into the last half hr. They kinda had to tho, cuz each SCENE required hundreds of drawings. Still, an amazing social commentary on a futuristic society that learned to embrace the police state. A MUST SEE!
