I've always looked for these statistics. Fascinating read, even if the editor was asleep when he proofed it.

Gun control is one of the issues I was actually swayed on by the folks over at the STLToday board. I'm not much of a fan of guns, which is why I was initially a gun-control proponent, then I wondered why I should care if anyone else owned/carried a gun and couldn't come up with a good reason so I 180'd my platform.

My only real concern was someone having some kind of Hero Fantasy and looking for a situation so hard that one gets created, however the data don't seem to support that conclusion and even if they did I couldn't justify taking away everyone's rights because of the actions of a few.

Rights belong to Individuals first and foremost. Seems to be a forgotten sentiment these days.

Agreed. I don't own a gun or much care to, either, but I'll be damned if I stand by and let them take away my right to have one.

Gun control has lead to millions upon millions of deaths, the most well-known, but not the largest being the Jewish Holocost.

I hadn't noticed during the debates that I converted anyone. My role was/is to provide information. When giving a shot or two at the aggressive opponents; it was an effort to enlighten rather than destroy. I do my destruction on the shooting range knocking down steal plates. like this example
