Scarlett's Smarter Than Katie
Scarlett Johansson is no fool. She knows what dinner with Tom Cruise and a room full of Scientologists means. And she can get her own boyfriends--and her own publicity--just fine by herself, thank you very much.
Johansson was set to star opposite Cruise in the currently filming movie Mission: Impossible III but was replaced due to scheduling conflicts, which is apparently code for “She was totally skeeved out by Cruise’s body-thetan-free friends.” While the two were set to be co-stars (and before the brainwashing of Katie Holmes), Cruise persuaded Johansson to join him at the Scientology Celebrity Center in L.A. Johansson said, “[Cruise] took me into this room, which was stifling hot, and was showing me all kinds of info about joining the church. The whole time he didn’t even offer me a cookie!” Haven’t you heard, sweetiehoney? Tommy isn’t in the habit of offering his cookie to girls. A source told Radar magazine, “Cruise opened a door to reveal a second room full of upper-level Scientologists who had been waiting to dine with the pair, at which point the cool-headed ingénue politely excused herself.” Then she fled the M:I 3 sinking ship faster than a ten-year-old boy running away from Neverland.

That is so cool. I guess it takes more than being "Tom Cruise" to impress this chick. Good for her. Personally I think the MI movies suck anyway. I wonder if all his costars have to go through the scientology recruitment dinners or just pretty young ingenues who won't care that he's queer.

I've always had the impression she was a smart, confident (and oh so sexy) girl - this proves all but the parenthated parts for me. Seriously, Scientologists are fucking freaks. Next time you talk to one, ask them about Zenu... - Rick

Honestly I don't know a damn thing about scientology or what they believe. All organized religions (I guess it's a religion of sorts isn't it? ) feel like bullshit to me.

It's Xenu (the evil alien that made us what we are today, apparently). Anyway, they are more like a money-making cult than a religion. Some scary stuff in there, besides John Travolta... - Rick
