D12 in Chitown

So where to start. Got there late so missed most of Bone Crusher. Not to sad about that really but their closers were fun. They did "Never scared" right after we got there and the house went nuts. Then came Slum Village. I was wanting to see them but they were just aiight and nothing more. D12 came out one at a time and they were great. I liked how they handled Slim's absence. They never mentioned him. They mostly just left his rhymes outta the songs and for the songs with his hooks, someone else (usually Kon Artis or Bizzy) sang them. Their performance couldn't have been better. I was still disappointed overall though because they only played for 40 min and didn't play a lot of the songs I wanted to hear. It was an all ages show so there was a curfew, but still. Would have been better if not so many on the ticket. Hip hop shows don't always do as well though so they have a tendancy to put 3 or 4 acts together. Guess it sells more tickets. They did prove that they could kick ass on stage without shady so I guess they've proven that point. They can do it without him if they want to. My daughter's friend got us up in the VIP lounge again so got to watch it from there which is cool cause you don't have to fight the standing room crowd for a view and it's pretty up there. Very morrocan. $10.00 cocktails (bar liquor) lol. We got drunk anyway and had a great time. I love that city.
